Black Pearl King Trumpet
This variety is a Japanese hybrid of the common King Trumpet. This is a super meaty mushroom and is most often the star on a plate. To prepare, slice the mushroom in half from head to tail and toss in a light coating of oil along with herbs and spices and roast in the oven for a great tasting and great looking piece to your dish or cut into scallop-like pieces to create a “scallop of the woods” and sauté.
